Ivan Mattschoss is a man with a passion. Whether it's the countless midnight hours spent perfecting his product, or it's the kilometres travelled to spread the word of the Mattschoss difference, Ivan has been building his own label of custom built guitars for eight years. What continues to drive his passion is the overwhelming feedback from his peers and professional musicians. Coming from over 30 years of carpentry & joinery background his relationship with timber and tools has become second nature.

He is proud that his wife Claire, and two sons Ryan and Trent can share in the development and success of Mattschoss Guitars. It is also peace of mind for Ivan that the Mattschoss Guitars values and legacy will continue through to the next generation.

Claire Mattschoss is Ivan's proud wife. Claire's support for Ivan is endless; she is by his side on most trips away for she has a love for music and meeting new and interesting people. Claire is quick to make light of a subject and instantly has a calming effect on you. Simply a great lady to have around.

Ryan Mattschoss is the eldest son of Mattschoss Guitars. Ryan's talent is in artistic design, and is responsible for a few features that make a Mattschoss guitar unique. He is currently honing his skills is promotion work for the Austereo radio network.

Ryan's skills that he is developing now will certainly result to be an asset to us in the future.

Trent Mattschoss is a young man who shares in the passion of great sound. Trent has been involved with Ivan from day one, where they found themselves cutting their first Mattschoss Shape out of a solid piece of Blackwood. He is a qualified carpenter, and has been along side Ivan in every decision made regarding the design, look, and feel of Mattschoss Guitars. Trent is also a successful international inline hockey player and knows first hand how to work well within a team. He is responsible for turning Mattschoss Guitars into a computer friendly business, and will continue to carry on the values and the legacy of Mattschoss Guitars.
