The ambition, to become a Luthier for Ivan R Mattschoss. Started at the age of nine years, in the early roaring sixties when guitar playing was a very accepted widespread pastime. Ivan built his first acoustic guitar on the Tailem Bend farm using one of Mum and Dad's good fruit timber half case boxes and using some of Dads good fishing line for Strings.

His Mum had music in her blood, they used to sit at the piano and try to tune this guitar and play a few songs, great fun but not a good sound according to the rest of the family.

At the age of sixteen, Ivan and his mate Denis purchased two new acoustic guitars from Denis's auntie Joan in Adelaide and took correspondence lessons to play. Many good times were had around campfires in the Mallee with their mates.

Some time in the eighties, Ivan progressed to the electric solid body guitar and here is where the real passion for creating different and cutting edge sounds started.

In the nineties Ivan decided to start manufacturing his own design and brand name of guitar.

He has slowly progressed forward with the help of some very good professional guitarists playing his guitars at shows and festivals such as Tamworth and The Gympie Toyota Muster. Ivan has taken constructive criticism and perfected the designs and sounds of his custom built solid body electric guitars.
